Just wanted to give a praise report on yesterday's fundraiser at Kit's house:
All I can say is... GOD SHOWED UP! His provision went above and beyond our expectations. We had a packed house filled with friends, family, and the Holy Spirit, raising over $1,800.00! It could not have gone better. Thank you so much to everyone who prayed about this event and to those who were able to come and support me.
I am currently at about $4,460.00. I have two more weeks to raise $3,540.00 to reach my needed support of $8,000.00.
God has really been giving me a sense of affirmation these past few weeks as I prepare for this mission trip. His hand has been guiding each and every detail of my spiritual and financial needs. I am in awe as I witness the Spirit at work in my life- it is such a joy and encouragement. I know I am right where God wants me and I cannot wait to see all his plans unfold as I seek his will.
Only 2 weeks until I take off for Australia!!! Please continue to pray for God's provision.

Fundraising Status
Just want to give an update regarding my fund raising: I have reached the $2,000.00 mark. Praise God! I still have $6,000.00 more to go before February 9, 2010.
The journey so far has been incredible. I say this before I have even left the country! God has taught me so much through this fund raising experience. I feel an overwhelming sense of support as I receive checks and letters in the mail from family, church members, and friends. God is teaching me about community in the body of Christ. Support raising is not about simply getting the money I need to participate with YWAM; God is so much bigger than that. He uses each and every gift to unite us in the body of Christ, blessing many as we respond to the call of Jesus.
Kit Engel has graciously opened her home on January 23rd, 2010 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm to have a fund raising party for my trip. The Lord placed it on her heart to gather us all together to have a fund raising effort just two weeks before I leave. I am very excited about this and would love for you all to be there! I will be there to answer any questions you may have regarding my trip and to celebrate with you all that God is doing in my life. Please bring any friends or family members you think may be interested in coming :)
